Saints ponder baker kick appeal
Kirk Cousins will not receive a special request to be placed on waivers after the Redskins signed free agent wide receiver Robert Williams as an international exception on Sunday.
The Redskins have been reluctant to offer Williams one-week waivers to protect him from salary cap restrictions. As part of the deal, the team agreed to pay his $2.45 million cap charge on Dec. 1.
Cousins has been active for six games as a receiver this season with 18 catches for 201 yards and a tou포항출장안마chdown.
Williams, 29, has received a one-week exception because of international obligations for the Saints.
Williams has one more year on his contract in New Orleans. The team also signed veteran tight end Justin Pugh, a seventh-round draft pick in 2015, as an international exception after Williams signed his tender.
As part of the deal with Williams, the Saints are giving him $500,000 from the cap.
